Default Boost Problem

Hi all,

I have just fitted a -31 actuator to my RST with a bleed valve. Due to me having a chipped ECU I wanted to run the boost at about 15PSI but at the minute all I seem to get is 10PSi max. I have adjusted the actuator and played around with the bleed valve but can't get it to go over 10 PSi when I want it to. The other problem is I took the car out the other night and it went to 17PSi without changing anything. Any siggestions as to what the problem could be?

Cheers
Dave

It was a problem with the amal valve. Sorted that out and took it for a blast and crapped myself. It was boosting at 20psi and there was no detonation or anything. Brought it down to a safe level as I don't want to fry my engine. What can I go up to on standard rods and low comp bottom end?

Cheers

It pulls like a train at 18PSi so I'll leave it at that and get it on the rollers to check everythings ok.

What boost was you running previous? Has the fueling been set up to match the increase in boost?

I was running 18PSi before on my old ECU which turned out to be knackered. So everything should be fine but gonna get it checked out just to make sure its right. There's a place in wakefield somewhere thats does it. Does anyone know the name of it and where abouts it is?
