hello, ive got rear disc conversion from what i can gather its sierra xr4i set up,

not to sure what you on about regarding load compensators, ive got a series one rs turbo and im sure the set up is different to the s2 regarding the abs etc.

i may get one of those bias valve thingys lol that u can adjust the braking either rear or front, its not dangerous but dont want to get caught out.

regarding teh master cylinder i payed £53 for it mate from a local motorfactors but i think im going to fit it any way at some point as the one i have one at the mo has done serious milage lol

brake servos are hard to get new , i just got a quote of over 200 , for the servo and master cyl !!!!

my pedal seems to get really active once pressed over half way , i have 170 brakes and drums people, i guessed this was a fair trade off .

so anyone know of a brake servo AND master cylinder i can go buy NEW and genuine ford ?

hi m8,had same problems on my s1,u have air trapped behind the piston on the caliper,to get rid of this remove caliper from hub and turn it until bleed nipple is facing directly upwards and lift the caliper as high as u can, bleed the brakes now and this will get rid of unwanted air

I have fitted a saph cossie rear disc conversion to my Escort turbo cab but can not get the dam system bled up properly. I have both ford load compensators and a wilwood bias valve fitted in line at the back. I have bled the system with the old ezibleed and all air seems to be out of the system, but the calipers just dont seem to be doing any thing ,everything on the system is brand new right down to the servo and master cylyinder. goodritch hoses all round! has anyone removed the two load compensators under the bonnet and just used a bias valve for the rear disc setup??

i was tempted to remove the load compensators as i too had done everything possible,

u sure the rears are brand new? and pads? as when i fitted these i ended up with a good pedal the rear caliper mechanism wasnt fuctioning very well either bit stiff as my mrs put it lol plus i had a small leak where one of the brake pipes joins the master cylinder.

i think it was 3 small faults in the end.... try holding teh pedal hard down, does it creep?

the brakes did a good job on track yesterday, very impressed

have u got another body to push the brake pedal?

i was told by the guy who set my engine up that the saph cossie calipers will only bleed up if the are mounted at the top of the disc, just how there are on the saph cos, but the brackets i was supplied in the kit from burton power have the caliper mounted to the left as you look at the disc. Has anyone else heard of this??

the problem we are all having is the brakes are too big for the master cylender.
mine go right to the floor coz i have rear disc's and 300mm fronts.
what master cylender fits?
