Default 5th injector set up?

i do nedd to get the engine set up right before i go for a little more power but ive been thikning of the 5th injector set up as it seems like a common thing to have. what im wondering is what exactly is needed to do the conversion and what sorts of prices are you looking at for getting the lot done and set up? are they really worth it? are there any problems that can arise for having it done?

any help appreciated!!!!

cheers, phil

hi there,

fifth injector kit is only needed if you are going to run high boost (anything over 15psi) because the KE fuel management cant put enough fuel in to match the air, so this is when the fifth injector comes in.

Once you reach a programed boost level the fifth injector starts to fire fuel into the air charge pipe (the one that crosses the rocker cover) and your safe to run higher boost levels. But if your only going to run about 14psi its not worth fitting as it will cost anything from £200 to £350.

hope this help

The fuel metering unit can be modified to fuel more for higher than 15psi

piece of cake to dump in lots of fuel, but at low and mid revs/off boost the a/f ratio is gettting way too rich= less power, carbon deposits.
