Noises...
Just a quick question, I appreciate that the S2 RST isn't a new car anymore and there will always be interior noises from center console area and parcel shelf etc it comes with age i guess. But has anyone on here managed to reduce the interior noises by soundproofing of some sort? I dont want to strip the car, just want to make it more noise free of rattles and creaks. Thanks

When I had mine painted I used sound deadening sheets on the panels and doors. Made it a bit nicer inside and the doors clunk instead of sounding like a biscuit tin
Only really got two rattles now. One from a loose seat adjuster and one in the dashboard somewhere.

Personally I'd source some thin sponge and rewrap all the stereo loom and any other wires you can get to with ease, Such as removing the instrument cluster and get in behind there.
From Factory plenty of wiring was sponge wrapped, which over the years crumpled away. When I used to drive mine many years ago(been laid up in my garage since 2009) i would sometime find small traces of sponge on my mats.
Also as mentioned about sound deadening. Whip of the door cards with the window up slap pads on the inner skin of the door and do the same for the rear wings behind the cards again. Recaros can squeak too, some electrical tape can stop this on the catches.
