I`ve been given a Mint XR3i which I`m using as a project car!!! After driving it for a while I`ve noticed 2 knocking noises...

1, When I go over a railway crossing it shakes the steering wheel to pieces... Any ideas why????

2, Also there seems to be a knocking noise coming from the left hand side at the front!!! I`ve checked the Anti-roll bar bushes which are fine... Any ideas on this one??? (Maybe a engine mount???)

 

could be ball joints and suspension and maybe the springs are dropped like 60mm

 

bottom arms fooked i think. the bush where the arm bolts to the chassis,
if engine mount was fooked at the front you'd feel the engine move on acceleration

 

Thanks Guys, I work in the parts trade so I`ll go price an arm up... Might aswell change both of them....

 

you can get the complete arm mate! much cheeper and less fookin around
