Default Coolant Temp Sensor.....

I'm looking for Part Number: V86-AB-12A648-AA Yellow Plug. Bought two from the local motorfactors and non of them are right..... One has the wrong plug totally and the other has the right plug but the threads are too small.....

Is this the right one?

I had trouble getting one of these a couple of months ago, a lot are listed for s2 but I believe there s1, smaller thread. I got one off eBay in the end, was the only one that was listed correct. Even euro car parts list them, but there wrong!
That one in your link looks correct to me mate, and off a company like that I'm sure it is.
I found it a pain to change too

Yes it is a pain... You gotta be ultra skinny and spaggetti arms to change them! My arms are scratched to hell!
Anyway, I cant purchase from MSD, as there is no "add to cart" button.

Burton Power seem to be out of stock too

Why don't you try ringing msd about a new one ?
When ever I've spoke to them in the past they've been more than helpful

I telephoned them up yesterday..... Discontinued Item....

I telephoned: 5 local motorfactors in my area
My local Dealership
Durham Ford
MSD
Matt Lewis Motorsport
Local Bosch dealer
Local motor Electrical Garage
Burton Power....

All had the same response: We have the white plug sensor (S1) but we cant locate/Discontinued the yellow coolant sensor.

i got mine in january but the company i got it from dont list it anymore

if you can find one with the correct thread you should also then make sure that it's the same rating internally before you can then chop the wires about to get it working

on the sierra there were 3 different ones all the same fitting but with different settings internally that were 25 degrees different from max to min so it's not a risk you really want to be taking "just cause it fits the hole" if you see what i mean
