if you can find one with the correct thread you should also then make sure that it's the same rating internally before you can then chop the wires about to get it working

on the sierra there were 3 different ones all the same fitting but with different settings internally that were 25 degrees different from max to min so it's not a risk you really want to be taking "just cause it fits the hole" if you see what i mean
