Default Rebuilding the steering rack

Anyone on here tried building the steering rack. Can you still get the parts to do this?

Looking to fit quick rack parts

I've bought a quick rack couple weeks ago.

Yet to strip my spare rack to see what's what.

I had a look for the same but it appears majority have only replaced. Can't be much to it though, i'll take a few photo's etc when i strip my spare rack so i can see whats replaceable.

I would imagine you'd want new rod ends and boots, and a tub of grease. Probably a few cir clips holding stuff together and the odd bolt. Might be an exploded diagram in Haynes manual but i haven't checked yet.

The quaife quick rack kit is literally just two pieces.

So the quaife rack comes as a kit or as a complete rack?
Whats the price diff?

Just the rack and the pinion gear come in the kit. That's all there is.

Intended for replacing the ones inside your own rack.
