.

Anyone know if it is possible to fit a rear starter gearbox on a CVH block, is there an adaptor or remote filter plate avalible thin enough to go beween the block and starter, or a shorter starter motor avalible???

Cheers

Im gonna guess IB5, bigger bearings etc and its alot easier to find rear starter ib5's than front starter ib5's these days

.

I've got an ST170 box mated to a 1600CVH block mounted in my other project track Mk2 Fiesta, I also have a Ferriday Engineering 1800cvh to go in it but debating wether to go 2.0 full ST170 turbo or ZVH with an ST170 bottom end as I might have a buyer for the 1800 CVH, it's all bolted up just wondered if anyone had seen a rear starter box actually working on CVH or had any info or pics.

The only other option would be to weld the starter motor mounting part of a BC box to the six speed Getrag box.

The starter is on the front of the mk2 box but it will be modded to mount at the rear where the old oil filter pick up was but with it being a black top zetec block the take off for the filter is further along the casting allowing for clearance otherwise its a no go.
