Default Turbo?

I've had to do some work on my car because the thrust bearing was faulty, so thought I'd do a few bits while I was at it, I wanted to see what turbo I've got its supposed to be a stage 3 T3 unfortunately when I took the boost hose off there was oil in it, checked the shaft and its got excessive movement so took the turbo off. I've looked for the .48 marking on the exhaust housing but theres no markings on it is there a way I can tell if it is?

also does anyone know the best place I could get it rebuilt or is it worth hunting for a t35?

cheers

A little oil in the hoses is normal, but that looks like its due a rebuild to me. I bet there's a bit of in/out play.

If there are no markings then it's probably standard.
What boost were you running and have you ever had it on a dyno?

Then I would say it's a stage 2 T3 (.36/50), stock turbo will flow for about 185bhp, stage 2 about 230bhp and stage 3 (.48/55) 300bhp.
My stage 2 made 231bhp at 19psi (Pushed to it's absolute limits) so your around that mate, a stage 3 at 21psi would see over 250bhp unless it's poorly setup.

You can remove both the compressor and exhaust housings and measure up, but I don't have any measurements to hand sorry.
