megasquirt 2 idlevalve problem...
hi!! i got a escort rs turbo with efi conversion on megasquirt 2 i am using a fiesta rs turbo idlevale and i dont get it to work.... when i turn the car on without cranking the valve opens but once the the engine starts it stays closed... Karlos G gave me his settings for the same valve but doesnt work and i have tried all the other settings of idlevalve and i dont get it to work...
so if someone had the same problem or could give me some advise thanks!!!!!

You may have the settings 'inverted'. There is a little box that you can tick under the idle valve settings which reverses the movement of the plunger,
ie) 100% duty on yours may be 100% off (instead of on), inverting (i think thats what the setting is called without looking) will mean that 100% duty is 100% on.
Does that make any sense lol?

Try the idle valve test mode under advanced settings, toggle all the settings so you can see the valve move, go from 0% to 100% to see if the valve opens/closes as expected,
PS, thats is a bit rich too, aim for 13 and above to start off with. Once you get to grips with it all aim for leaner 14-14.7, but they do idle pretty nicely at between 13-14....

i tried the invert mode on PWM warmup and i also
tried all the other idlevalve control settings and i still have the same problem idlevalve
opens when ignition is switched on then is closes as soon as y start the engine...
i tried the idle valve test mode but not sure if i did it right, what am i suposed to right in that window?

What "settings" have you altered? And how did you go about altering them exactly? And did you notice any effects whatsoever when you made alterations? If so, please elaborate. Or did the problem stay consistently the same?

jeff, altering what ever settings dont change nothing on the valve it keeps closed doesnt do nothing and the only time it opens is when i turn the ignition on....
