Hello can someone give me some ideas of what can be wrong, im running external wastegate with 11psi spring the problem im having is it will only boost 9psi an not opening the screamer pipe an no matter what i do i cant get it to boost more with wastegate fitted. I have taken wastegate off pressure tested it an all seems to work fine but i blanked it of on car last night to see if it would boost more which it did 13psi so lifted off so to me it would point at wastegate. I did use this wastegate when i had it set up at 24psi when i put 2 springs in so i used to make more any ideas cheers

Was using cheap demon motorsport one but now just changed over to turbosmart have not had chance to test it yet with all the wet weather so hopefully that may have fixed it fingers crossed

Still the same bud i have put 3 dif springs in 9psi 14psi and 18psi an everytime it will run 3/4psi under the rated spring pressure

 

try a differant boost gauge? or is that figure taken from datalog?

 

ive got 2 boost gauges an both reading the same an plus weather the boost gauge was wrong its still not opening the screamer pipe. Im not sure if its because im not using any boost controller an just feeding the bottom of wastegate from turbo but i still would have thought it would open the screamer still

 

Ummmmm. you got adjustbal bleed valve or just your amual valve?????

 

none of them mate just hose straight from turbo to bottom of wastegate

 

May have sorted problem out i found a big crack in manifold today where the external wastegate joins the bottom of manifold an its blowing big time so that cant be helping as that just the same as the wastegate being open all the time
