Default is it possible n how can i move the starter motor from back to front??

my mates got an ib5 at his, well i think it is.
got all the right mounts n bits i need but the starter motors on back?? anyway i can change it to front some how or have my starter on back???

think the escort si had a starter at the rear, no reason why you can't make it work.

is your engine a cvh, if it is the oil filter will be slap in the way

Zetecs were available as rear starters, so should work.

will the cvh bell housing bolt onto the ib5 to swap starter back to front??

Not sure about that but the PTE (late 1.4 MPI Escort) had a front starter IB5

from looking at the two boxs they are very much the same.

try convert to rear starter if poss, it was done to stop the starters heating up from the downpipe

they look exactly the same and all bolt holes line up?

the oil feed pipe is in way of rear starter motor placement!!
