Default mondeo mk3 calipers?

hi, are the mondeo mk3 front calipers a good upgrade to do on a s2 rs turbo? and will it be similar fitting to the sierra cossie calipers thread i see on here?

if so which discs would be good match for them i was thinking st170 discs they are 300mm aren't they? im guessing these would not fit with standard s2 wheels? but i have mondeo 16ich (cossie style) wheels at the mo fitted so will this set up fit these?

cheers for any advise, Nick

Hi mate you will need st170 discs yo go with the mondeo calipers. They will go behind 15" alloys but you will have to grind the calipers to get them to fit. Have a look on the zsoc web site and look for big g on there as he does this conversion for the zs and has done some for fast ford

They will fit behind your Mondeo wheels no probs as I run this conversion too.

As said they will fit behind standard wheels with a bit of a skim off the caliper...
They are a far better upgrade than cossie calipers, bigger for a start and the calipers will be newer and more easily accessable. I think a new caliper from a motor factors is around £60 a side!

Just remember you will have to drill the hubs out to 12mm for them to fit but the st170 discs will slot in just fine and dandy

Talking Mk3 Mondeo Calipers on RS Turbo

Evening all.
Are the calipers from any model mk3 mondeo suitable for RS Turbo upgrade or should i be looking for a particular engine size or model?
Also, are the S2 RS Turbo & XR3I servo the same size?
Thanks

All mk3 mondeo calipers are the same so don't be fooled into buying st ones for more money! I payed 20 for my calipers and £59 for brand new st170 disks and mk3 Mondy pads. Then £14 for the spacers between the calipers and hub
