Default Rear Cossie brakes on s2

I'm thinking of doing the rear Cossie brake conversion on my s2 is it worth it? What's involved etc?

I think its worth it but only if urs are nackerd, if ur drums are working fine leave em.
Mine stops a bit better and to be fair they defo look the part, just make sure u get correct ones as the ones i got look crap as pads are slightly to small and it leaves a rusty ring on disc.

The lads on here should point u in right direction, oh yeah and under hard braking in wet ive had back end lock up on me twice so u may need a bias valve somewhere along the line.

Its easy!

Set of convertion brackets & hoses from burtons, a new handbrake cable from a Escort RS2000, new discs and recon calipers from any 2wd sierra.

you can use caliper of rear of focus, xr4x4, xr4i, granada, fiesta then get the disc to go with caliper but unless yours are knacked or you want them as they look better then stick to drum and remember they push your wheel out about 7mm so can cause problems with arches if running big wheels

The conversation bracket dictates the caliper and disc. Ie the bracket from Burton you have to use a 2wd cossie disc and any sierra 2wd caliper. Granada calipers a wider to except the vented disc which are not to the same diameter or thickness making that bracket useless. Also the brackets I bought did not space the wheel out what so ever. I dont remember a fiesta with rear disc brakes and cannot comment on the focus calipers as ive never used them on any of my projects.

dixiethekid it's not the bracket that moves the wheel it's the thickness of the centre of disc compared to the thickness of the old drum material

I done mine, the only problem i had was that the rears locked up before the front! Thats with willeood cossie setup on the front too... So i put a bias adjuster inline. I would stay with drums on the back if i was to build another one!

Just one mate, goes inline on the pipe that runs front to rear. Just lowers the flow of fluid that goes to the rear.
