Default Piston identification,

Cleaned one of my pistons up, petrol and very fine paint prep pad..

0.5? Would this indicate already oversized?

Tis very tidy!! My only excuse is just started the strip down and while having a quick inspection of pistons noticed the marking so gave it a wipe to see it clearly!!
Blocks going in for re-honing and a thourough clean!! But all being well when it goes back together it'l be sparkly

OT, but with petrol its very hard to get stuff clean. With this chemical i soak parts ~1h and after that its 15 min job to clean all 4 pistons.

Are you going to share the name of this product?????

Are oversived pistons a upgrade, or rather is it something that you'd do to improve performance or is it just from worn cylinders ad having to go bigger through rebores?

No performance gains, done when bores are out of tolerance.

Yes the look like they are oversize pistons,

I think my pistons win the cleanest piston competition

In the end i used different pistons any way,

I used the old rings to clean the ring gaps, fairy liquid and a brillo pad, then the went into the ultrasonic cleaner, have a look at my build thread mate, i've got lots of pics from when i built my engine.

Rob,
