Default brake upgrades

other than the usual cossie stuff what can you use to upgrade stadard brakes? i heard of mk3 mondeo calipers and cossie discs, but what calipers? there are loads of diff mk3 mondeo models, plus isnt there a upgrade using the st170 300mm discs and some calipers from another ford????

Mk3 Mondeo Calipers & Pads, with st170 300mm Discs - Needs 12mm spacer washers/plate to move the calipers inwards, away from the hub and the hub bolt holes need opening out by 2mm to 12mm iirc and Voila!
I run this setup with EBC YellowStuff Pads and its pretty good, stops really well from cold and i've done 2 track days at brands hatch with no fade! Im going to change to drilled discs next, purely for looks!

any pics of the set up mate? and are they any mk3 mondeo calipers?

all mk3 mondeo's using the same calipers. take a look to my profile, you can see how they looked behind 16'' rims(not clear...)

This did the trick for me.



Bear in mind you'll need at least a 3mm spacer for the front alloys as the caliper only just fouls the alloy.

Too true, but i refurbed the alloys myself. So had to trial fit everything before buying the tyres.

yeh i aint got a spare £400 quid for 4 pots though, was looking for a decent upgrade for under £200 or even less if i could

mondeo mk3 calipers, 300mm discs from a st170. can be done for around £120ish
