Default What's needed to fit a cossie T3 onto escort exhaust?

ive been told that the exhaust housing side of the turbo doesn't fit onto the exhaust of the S2, is it a case of fitting a escort housing or do I need other parts?

I expect this thread has been made a couple of times but I'm on my phone and can't look for them, if there's a thread on it then just a link will do..

Thanks, Joe.

I think (although i've never done it) you need a cosworth exhaust elbow and a new down pipe.

I Didn't think they had elbows? I take it you cant just put a exhaust housing/elbow off a S2 T3?

give someone like oddkidd a ring mate, you have to cut the top off the escort down pipe along with the cossie one and weld them together, so best to get a pro mate

You get get a .48 housing which fits exactly the saem as the ERST elbow and fits perfectly to the RST exhaust system. Over 250 BHP (or so I'm told) the standard elbow is restrictive. All you need to do it make a downpipe. It's not difficult if you have a welder. I made a 3inch downpipe to fit the tubular manifold and T34 with a cossie ex housing out of a cossie downpipe and a flexi joint to act as a stepper from the 3" downpipe onto the 2.5" Mongoose exhaust.

Two together

Cut an tacked together

All welded up

Fitted

Hope this helps.

Send your turbo off to cr turbos and they will build yours into a stage 3 hybrid for less than £500 with all postage then you have a brand new unit , good for 250bhp+

Don't bother with a stage 1 they are no better than standard.

Yikes!!

How do you UK guys build cars over there? The parts costs are silly.
A new T3/T4E .58 45 trim (350 hp rating) is $700.00 (432 pounds) here in Canada.
