Default cts stage 2 box

Im going to go and get a cts stage 2 box , can anyone advise me on what to look for ? What do the atb's look like from where the driveshafts go ?

Yeah 980 ish for stage 2 with quaife ! Im looking at a 2nd hand one though just trying to make sure its got the ATB in it before i decide to buy it !

Looks like this and stamped on the top should be a number which is individual to each CTS box. You can then call CTS and they will be able to identify it and tell you the spec and when they built/ serviced it.



The ID is stamped on the flat near the selector.

this man raises a good point, for around £1500 you get frs/mtx75+quaife diff box and all associated parts to fit a FRS box.
does mean a bit of work for you and sourcing parts, but will get you a very, very strong gearbox with the diff you're after.
gets a cable changer in there, hydraulic clutch and electronic speedo.

think they have the markings starting with JP

some boxes hold out some dont, at the end of the day its your choice,and desired goal you want to achieve

a mate of mine had a cts2+ and had 280ish hp and drove it hard all the time, and it lasted for him

As it turns out the box im buying is a stage 2+ and is at a very good price so i doubt an RS box would come in at the same money !
