mate all you need is a ford item mate as these are more then up to the job, a good few years back when i first had an rst and did not know much about them, i ordered a so called grp a one and all i got was a felpro one which went with in three months of fitting so i got on the phone to jano (oddkiddcreations) and he said get a ford one on there and i never had a problem with it and since rebuilding the engine i have fitted another ford one and still not had a problem and he put ford ones on his motors and i know there are a few well known s2 on here that use them as well.

so i would say get a ford one fitted and a good set-up and you will be sweet mate

3 weeks ago i fitted a 5 layer 1.9mm gasket and arp stud and nut kit to my std 1600.

It has 264bhp at the mo, i will raise the boost level as far as the engine will let me.

Will update with how good or bad it is in the next few weeks after the testing has finished.

guys i have blown mine out at 220 bhp

It was a Glaser one....

Do the Ford onces have the ford logo stanced into them? Who preduced them for Ford?

I ordered my new one already from my engine builder, but no idea which brand is it. Which brands are good enough too for 220 bhp or is it just only the ford one the way to go?

Payne & victor are not as good as ford motorcraft gasket.

Gus sorry missed that q.
Athena gasket supplied by pec.
I run less than 22psi makes 260bhp. Greens run out of puff and greys is not suited for what I use the car for so pretty much at the limit of where I need to be.

Car weighs nothing works out just under 300bhp per tonne.

So the standard Ford onces are produced by motorcraft?

My car builder ordered me a Victor Reinz, but think i'm gonna order a orginal Ford one too then. Don't want to take another guess

The Glaser which i blow out was only 4000 kilometer old!

as above the standard ford gasket is the best all round head gasket for the cvh which has been proven many times but the big power boys...

but make sure its a genuine ford gasket and bolts.... and its cheaper last time i looked than the uprated ones
