Last weekend my car broke down to a metering unit failure ![](http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/images/smilies/rsoc/wall.gif)
Now for the good part lol, the way it broke down was the pin in the top half of the unit where the injector lines are was jammed in the up position which was making the unit fuel like i was on full throttle even on cranking over which completely flooded the engine and oil with petrol![](http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/images/smilies/rsoc/bigcry.gif)
So today my mechanic replaced the metering unit and done an oil and filter change and all seems okay. Car just needs a run to clear all the crap out of the system now and then i will do another oil and filter change.
I am so lucky this was caught a few seconds after starting the car or it would have been a new engine for me.
