Default Sharing performance Cars with the missis?

Continuing from my last post (loosing faith) ive decided the best route is to get another car and chip away at the s2 as and when, she runs out of tax in a few days anyway so its storage time 4 the useless thing. Im looking at an evo 6 rs in the hope of some 'boil in the bag' fun. Wont modify it part from exhaust and hopefuly it should stay nice and reliable for my days off. Problem is the missis is going to have to use it when im working away. Whats peoples thoughts on letting their over halfs loose in nippy cars when they dont have much experience. Know theres been a few lucky escapes 4 people on here and im just trying to weigh up if its viable option.

Exactly! If you are getting a 2nd car get something cheap to run and slow, so when you get back in your S2 it feels special.

Also, whose to say your other half isnt a better driver than you.

you have to ask yourself this could you handle the other half using the car and returning it with bumps, dents, scratches etc because IMO if its being used every day for school run's, shopping etc then its going to get bumped about quite a bit

My other half drives my cossie, no problems whatsoever with the whole idea. Except I can't drive it when she does...

I brought my wife a EVO6 she is fine had it nearly 3 years now, the only problem she has is with the nova/ saxo boys trying to race here or doing stupid overtaking manovers to get past here to prove that there cars are fast to

I let the other half loose in mine last week. What a girl. She stalled it 3 times setting off because she couldnt feel the biting point but on her way down the road she was dodging potholes and everything. Couldnt fault her

Cant wait to see her drive it with the turbo lump, pmsl.
