Can anyone give me a rough idea why my intermittant wipers arnt working? I have tried other stalks and it still no better. The wiring at the motor is correct. I assume the wipers should wipe when you operate the screen washers but they dont.
Any help please?

not sure if they are the same but my s1 has the relay in the fuse box under the bonnet..dont think there is a need for a relay for other wiper settings as it doesnt need to pause between wipes

Either the motor or the red relay in your fuse box. You might find the wipers just need some use. Mine are all juddery, ie you need to keep your finger on the stalk to do a single wipe or they'll stop half way up the screen. With a bit of use they get better so it's just bad contacts in my case.
