Hi guys im thinking about fitting a 2l zetec in my mk4 cab but I want to run the series 1 anti rollbar set up, so what options do I have in gearboxes that will fit and be reasonably strong ?

what driveshafts do you need with the ib5 ? does it depend on which car the box comes from ? or can you just use normal mk4 1.6 ones ?

Hi mate,
If you look through that thread it will answer a good few of your questions. And i think gives an ebay link to a suitable gearbox (the seller has quite a few reconditioned boxes for sale).
I have done this and have used standard rst drive shafts, the box also accepts and rst lsd. and has mount positions for s1 and s2 setups.
The other option is an mtx75, this is a bit more involved though.

as for mtx75, well i'm fitting a Focus RS one into my mk2 fiesta, fair bit needs chopping out of inner wing (same issues with escorts too), driveshafts either need cutting and sleeving with car's own shafts or custom ones making and then there is the hydraulic clutch (i'm using all the focus rs stuff for this) and electric speedo needed too.
really involved and i haven't even gone into mounts and torque link bars yet.
