Problem with KE-Jetronic after engine rebuild
Hi!
After rebuilding the engine I can’t start it. Starter is working, there is a spark, fuel has 5,6bar.
One thing that comes to mind is wrong CO setup. Before rebuild engine had worse compression so AFR was different, now when it is more hermetic ratio is different.
Is there any way you know to set up CO? I know there is a screw to rotate it. I have couple of bosch service manuals but no one says how to set up this primary level.
How tight should be this screw in throttle body?
When turning ignition should there be a signal to pressure actuator on fuel distributor?
Any info will help

Right, first thing is first,
Take out the injectors put them into glass jars and with the ignition turned on push the metering flap down. This will ensure fuel is being injected (you will fill up the glass jars with fuel!).
The amount of fuel coming out of the injectors should be roughly proportional to flap position. Ranging from None to shit lots
My guess would be an air leak. Or incorrect ignition timing etc due to rebuild.
When you have done this, and reinstalled your injectors. Crank the engine whilst some one pushes the metering unit flap down by a FEW mm's, no more or the engine will flood.
Let us know if that make the engine fire or try to fire.

ignition timing might be wrong but how can i set it up when i have changed ignition distributor. i have ignition light but it's useless when engine is not working.
what about the signal to fuel pressure actuator? anyone know when it should be?

my first port of call would be turning engine to tdc then where the rotar arm on the dizzy is put no1 lead..this should be close enough to start it up..if not starting still, i would as above, push fuel flap slightly whilst cranking.. i always have an issue with starting as it only gets used once in a blue moon

i thought these injectors need to be in the head to inject fuel cos the vacuum required.
i removed mine when i had a faulty one and when i turned engine over nothng came out the injectors.
soon as i put them in the head though it ran fine
so cant see how putting em in a jar will work
