Default just a question.....

if i had around 7-8k, to spend on buying a MINT condition one, and spend the rest on mods, is that a enough money in terms of gettin some real good power from it along side a top RS??

mate there was a mint s1 with a 2.1 zvh fully restored with poweder coated everything...the engine bay was all chrome...the interior was !!!! the car was running 300 chp at 28 psi ...probably the most perfect rs s1 ever....all it needed was cossie management....

oh and it had oz vela wheels....

it was on ebay the guy wanted 7k.

i would say 7/8k is enough! if your getting huge power (and useing it) you wont want/be able to take it concourse so i would say you can!

8k doesn't last that long i have spent 15k plus on mine and i'm still not finished

i reckon you can, including buying my S1 and doing everything to
it including a engine rebuild, intercooler etc, i have spent 9k (SO FAR)

I however am 25k lighter and not finished!

That includes a full body restoration, decent gearbox, huge quantity of new parts, big brakes, trick suspension, decent engine rebuild.
