Weld on -10 fitting inplace of sump plug

Weld on -10 fitting inplace of sump plug
Question.....
The sump I've bought for my YB project needs the sump plug helicoiling (common fault I believe).
I had the idea of having a -10 fitting welded on in place of it for the breather oil return and to act as a drain for the sump??
Can anyone see any problems/issues with doing this??
It would also mean I could have a nice bling fitting blanking plug as a sump plug if I didnt end up using it as a breather return?!
