Default Inner Roof Rotten

Hi All

Went to get down to some work on the escort today, the sunroof has never worked so after removing the sunroof I can see that the inner roof panel is rusted away badly. The actual outer roof panel is fine. I'm now stuck at what my options are?

I dont believe here is a panel replacement, so I guess I could purchase a 2nd hand roof and take the inner panel to replace mine. Or I could do away with the sunroof and replace both panels.

Any help would me much appreciated,

the roof it's self is easy enough to do. it's finding the panels to do it with, plus you need to decide if you want a sunroof or not. i have a tidy mk3 shell (no sunroof) £250 in you need a roof.

Thanks for getting back to me, mine is the mk4 unfortunately so I dont think the mk3 one will fit. Would you keep the sunroof in and just replace the inner panel if you were to tackle this?

really, is it a case of finding the weld spots, drilling then somehow removing the roof?

have a look on here, this is the bit you need to replace ,not sure where you are in the country to him, but you could get his one and restore and fit to yours.
