Thats a bit strange for a ford dealer to say that.Loads of people run the uprated oil pump.Never heard of problems. Will be my next step when i do my forge bottom end.

I wouldn't use a Burton pump but at the same time, a genuine Ford item I used wouldn't produce oil pressure either. I'm now on an Autopumps standard item.

Burton pumps are copy items with a high pressure spring fitted.

Just buy the spring instead and use a ford pump. What i use in every engine build and have not had one fail in over 14 years of buildin cvh engines.
