I've recently had my ERST engine rebuilt. However since i've had the car back I was told that my reverse lights no longer work! I've been under the car and played with the 2 prong plug which conneacts to the gearbox but they still don't work.



What else could it be?

 

when you say played with ? do you mean jumped the switch?

 

Thanks for the interest s1cab. Jumped the switch? All I've simply done is unplugged the switch and cleaned the connections etc.

 

put a wire jump between the two pins on the plug, put the car in reverse with ignition on and check the reverse lights. sounds like the reverse light switch in the gearbox is busted.

 

Hi mate, tried this but still doesn't work.... I just don't know what else it could be?!?!
