Default Injectors, fuelling need advice/help please!

Now then folks,

Got a few querries about my cvh, mfi, running standard injectors, fuel pump is standard, ecu is standard, i have a slightly up rated block and turbo approx 190bhp 190ftlb. My car runs fine on boost, but normal low speeds its a bit lumpy (have uprated cams so expect a little bit of rev difference on idle). I have had the car set up to slightly rich to put more through, but car is still lumpy!

Any way my question is do i need to uprate injectors/pump or add 5th injector (dont want to do this as im not after huge power) or do i need to put aftermarket ecu to control fuel/air flow??

Or shall i try an injector flush to see if its a bit of mess in them??

its not done this before but has done it a week or so now, car has been set up in past couple of weeks!

Cheers,

Dumpy

Could be any number of things mate, where did you have it setup and what exactly did they say the problem is?
Of course going aftermarket EFI management is the best cure for most RST running problems as it replaces all the ageing parts with new ones, but it's not the cheapest fix lol

Had it set up at a local garage, mechanic says its not getting enough fuel at cruising speeds, but can only adjust the flow on mettering head, due to having a standard ecu!

Want to keep it mfi to be honest quite like the standard'ish style!

Does having different injectors increase fuel rate on standard ecu??

You cannot upgrade the MFI injectors easily so no, and more importantly you dont need to!
Sounds to me like he is adjusting the idle mixture, does he have a dyno?

No they are not, fuelling is controlled by a screw in the metering unit.
