Default 2 stage boost?? how??

how do u wire up/set up a 2 stage boost on a rs turbo??

if i remember right u have 2 cut intp the green/brown wire from amalvale & put a switch inline????

& set boost up to say 14psi on actuator with amal valve wired up/switched on???

that correct??

how does it know what boost 2 run when amal valve is switched off?? say 10psi??

You can use the amal valve for two stage boost. What to do is set the actuator at your lower level, say 10 psi. Then with the amal valve off (not live) you will run 10 psi, as you are bleeding no air off. Then if you switch the valve on you will be bleeding control air off to the actuator ( the same way a bleed valve does) and you will run a higher boost level. This level (ive found a bit of experimenting helps) can be controlled by the size of restrictor you have in the vent port on the amal valve, it will ahve to be quite large for a big differential in boost levels (approx 3mm for 7psi). Hope this helps mate.

cheers mate, & its just the brown/green wire that has 2 be switched?

im sure on the amal valve the top pipe should run to the actuator & the middle pipe to the turbo houseing???

on mine its the other way around so i'll have 2 swap that back over 1st as it isnt right

Exactly as he ^^ said

There are three outlets (W) goes to actuator the middle one (C) goes to the compressor housing and the third (R) is the bleed outlet and originally would have gone to airbox but seen as most have induction cones etc the hose is usually removed.

It's the earth wire you cut which goes back to the ECU as you say, don't know the colour on RST.
