brake question on a 1.3 shell
im reshelling my turbo and just wondering if i could use the 1.3 servo and lines.
does the servo act as a bias on the 1.3 as there is a line going staight to each of the rear drums
thanks

i ran my 1.3 brake line and servo set up when i converted mine, had no problems at all, just swapped the front brakes for the rs kit to ditch the 1.3 solid disc set up, n left the rear drums alone
the only real difference in the system is the 1.3 will have the rear bias pots on the bulkhead

Ive left all my 1.3 stuff on the estate and ive got 4 pots on the front and swopped the rear drums to rs turbo jobbies theres a little abit of pedal travel but the brakes pull up spot on.

yeah we've bleed my system twice and i couldnt really get a good pedal feel. Plus where its sat there doing nothing it seems to have lost fluid somewhere. Pain in the arse completely.
mine was exactly the same, pedal felt a bit spongy at the top, the brakes worked fine when pressed, but the initial sponge didnt fill u with confidence. bled the system god knows how many times, including pressure bleeding machine thingy, no change
wonder if its to do with the bias pots, or the smaller master cylinder?
iv done away with my 1.3 kit now, fitted an rst master, and the bias pots r gone and replaced with a proper in car bias valve, so fingers crossed the spongy pedal wil be gone

id love to tell you, but the car hasnt been driven for 5 years, and the brake set up is in a box on the roof of the car lol
im holding out high hopes that it will be improved tho

lol ok then. If it makes u feel any better mine hasnt been on the road properly in 4years. When i think about it i wonder if the engine will just go bang the first time i boost up as it hasnt been used for that amount of time.
