7k is my plan...

Im bolting the turbo on a hansenturbo tubular manifold and im running a fieldmotorsport inlet.. so the flow should be okay..
the bloke im buying it off, told me the turbo came on boost at 3800 rpm, and it was on his alfa 145 1,8 liters engine

Depending on your CR on a 2ltr the 76 should be making a bar of boost by approx 4200rpm on a .82 housing.. Also depends on your power targets. Also what AR exhaust housing does the 76 have. You will be better off with the 63. for better spool.

my 2,1 is now 7,8:1 i CR but that will be lowered when i fit a sitech headlayer gasket..
I believe the th 76 have a 80. exhaust housing?

maybe I should stick with the 71 to get the real benefit of a ball bearing turbo.. the quicker spool..

7.8:1 is pretty low already Adam. You also need to decide where you will be using the car, ie road, track, strip etc.

If you want it for a road car the 76R will be pretty laggy on a 2.1. I personally wouldnt lower the CR anymore as that will make the driveability even worse. Just make sure you run good quality fuel, maybe add some methanol. Also make sure its mapped well.

A 3076R with a .82 housing is a genuine 500+bhp turbo, if youre not aiming for that then i would stick with the 3071R. The 71 will top out at approx 450bhp but obviously the spool will be better.

If i were you id decide what you want from the car and then spec a turbo to suit. Maybe a GT2871R will meet your needs?
