RS Turbo Starting issues when warm
Right having a mare with my turbo. Basically the car will fire on the button when cold. If i was to let the car get up to running temp switch it off go smoke a fag and then try restarting the car just wont fire. Its not the starter motor getting hot because the starter motor is turning the engine it just wont fire. I basically have to hold the throttle to the floor and turn the key and about 15 seconds later the car fires. But it sounds like it is only running on 3 cylinders after a few seconds the car sorts it self out and runs fine. Any ideas what is causing this i have checked for air leaks?

The Fuel accumulator has two functions :
to dampen the pulsation of the fuel flow, generated by the pump and to maintain fuel pressure after the engine has been switched off. This prevents a vapour lock developing
with consequent hot starting problems.
Thats what my Haynes said...
