Default s2 rs turbo wont turn over by key but bypass/bump starts first time

hi all got a starting issue with my rs when i put the key in and turn the lights come on, pump primes and immobiliser light stops flashing like normal but when i try to turn over the engine nothing not even a click or any lights dim. The car bumps first time and the same when i bypass buy touching the two terminals on the starter with a bit of wire so it isnt the starter and the earth and live is fine. it did do this every so often cold or hot but when i took the key out and tried agin it would be fine. am thinking it is a starter relay or fuse if any one could tell me if they have one and where they are? or if anyone thinks it could be anything else?

Its defiantly not:
Starter motor/solenoid
Battery
Alternator
Immobiliser
Main earth and live

thanks, henry

Sounds like your trigger wire mate, its the little single wire that is connected to the starter motor next to the live, check its connected properly and that the wire hasnt got damaged anywhere as i think on the S2 it runs back under the rad and can get damaged
