Default Oil temp and pressure gauge

Hi all were is the best place to put the senors for an oil temp and oil pressure gauge,i have been told the best place is in the sump is this right? i mean drill the sump and weld the boss for the gauges to the sump,

Thanks for any help on this

and if you don't like karlos option you don't need to drill the sump. just buy an adaptor from ebay and replace your oil tap. With this adaptor you can put your temp gauge sensor. And for the pressure gauge you can buy a T piece and then put it there the standard oil pressure sensor located. this is what i done in my car... Sorry if can't understand my bad English...

I done the same in my car as tassos. One tee for the pressure and one adaptor for the sump plug.
I think that the sump plug adaptor maybe can measure low temp oil because is in the low part of the sump, and here maybe the oil is cooler but I don`t know.

Karlos, what do you do with the oil cooler?

remove it or leave it in place with the sandwich on top?
