Default Yet more trouble!!

i cant get any sort of boost less i have the throttle is nailed to the floor? y? surely there should be some boost at any position?

all through the rest of the range its flat and sounds shit and lumpy! really dont like it!!

im off to motorsport developments on monday for set up! but have 2 decent length journeys to make before then!!

anything anyone knows of off hand??

new amal valve
all pipe work tight
new throttle position switch
new plugs
new leads
timing correct and check lots of times
free and working turbo elbow.

its still running really rich too! you reckon this could be the trouble? i havent even got the cold start plugged in cause if i do it wont start!!!!

could be a throttle position sensor fault or ecu fault perhaps.

The TPS (on mfi) has 3 positions
Throttle closed
In between open and closed
and full throttle

If the ecu thinks the throttle is closed you maybe running very lean etc.

Im not sure if this will actually cause the symptoms you've got though. Like no boost at any thing other than WOT.... i would imaging you car would detonate/stutter as well.

So like S1 John says it could be shite rich.

Could be many things mate, limp to MSD and i'm sure they will put it right or at least tell you whats wrong!
I'd try and use another car for the two journeys you need to do.

cheers guys im not too sure what the difference is between mfi and efi!! think mfi!

problem is i dont have anything else to use minus motorbike and its not the weather for that!

i just cant understand how its changed from running ok to been a bag of crap since i did the head gasket doesnt make sense!

as far as i know everything went back together as it should have, its annoying cause i know that the guys at MSD will be avle to sort it but anything could happen between now and then! and id rather it didnt but knowing my luck it will!

and yeah to be a little clearer the car is useable but no boost unless you feather the throttle up to full revs and eventually you get something that resembles boost! or the other way is to just boot it full throttle and it goes like a stabbed rat! its just a bit annoying!! and im a little concerned for the engine internals!

but because insurance companies hate me im having to keep using it! i cant get a 2nd car!

oh and something else there doesnt seem to be any predet or pinking

Sorry i made my reply last night after i got back from the pub..... looking at it Karlos is spot on, i would avoid using it mate. If your not sure whether its MFI or EFI i would certainly take it for that set up. I would borrow a car for your long journeys as it really isn't worth taking the rs just to melt it.
