i have a erst on gotec was runnin 22 psi, now the engine has been rebuilt with a diffrent turbo spec. now i have a couple of questions,

what ammount of boost can i run on a base map? is it safe to leave it on a base map?
now i would love to take it back to jamie to get it sorted,but with a 5 hour round trip its a mission.
is their any tuners that can map gotec in my area? im in west sussex?

5hrs round trip doesn't sound that bad

 

definatly worth the 5 hour trip mate, jamie had mine for a week when my s2 was on dta, was a completly different car afterwards

 

you can get it to a safe level your self with a wideband and laptop, just download dealer tune of gotec's website and your away then once you've got some miles on it get to jamie for a proper tune or swap to a management that someone closer tunes

 

i tryed to link my laptop to my gotech and it wouldnt work

theres your prob then, gotech software only works with xp.

 

i can get it to work on a pc with vista tho the troble i was having is that my laptop doesnot have the right connection for gotech and when igot an adaptor cable it would neva work ?

 

Its never going to be as safe as what it would be if it was professionally tuned!!! Jamie is a good bloke and takes pride in getting the best out of cars that he works on. take it too him or find someone else, it dont matter ehat internals what engine you are running if you are running 22 psi and it aint fuelling it right BANG!

 

I'd suggest Enhanced Performance. They've just moved to Bolney - corner of A23 and A272. Luke who runs the place is a good guy, very thorough. They install and map Gotec and are friends of Jam Sport.
