I'd get it checked for flatness if it's an autospecialist one (looks like it). The one i got from them always blew gaskets and it turned out it was warped! They do look good when they're brand new thought eh

looks good- are these as strong as the original items or do they need a turbo bracker/support really?

Lol...yeah you need to be more than a member chris haha!! Not alot different to the original really, no damper or anything required and the turbo mounts in the same place. I ran one for a while, only took it off cos i didn't get round to getting the flange face skimmed so put the original back on for now.

It'll not make any performance difference if you ask me.

How easy are these SR20det manifolds to fit? I'm guessing they would need a t3 flange putting on as the 200sx uses a T28 iirc?

no they are not and the pipes don't line up and are not round they are oval but if you know what you are doing then its not hard to do and the last one i made only cost Ł70 to make .

Good stuff, I think I'll have a crack. Was mostly the ports that concerned me. Do they keep the turbo in roughly the same position?

when i first did it i changed the cam at the same time so hard to tell but i gained just over 30hp with the newman cam and the exhaust manifold and it was running a kent 34 on the old set up.

and i also run the same manifold on my 350hp zetec turbo.

it all depends on if you supply the manifold or if i can find a second hand one ,but they are Ł250 if i have to buy a new manifold plus the flanges. these dont crack i have been running them for years and are on a few cars now with no probs.

250 for a custom manifold sounds like a good bargain especially knowing it can handle big power i'll take one when you get time
