Default starting issues !

as some of you know I'm new and am helping a friend with a erst f plate.

the problem is it starts sometimes with no trouble, but then sometimes when its been running for a few minutes and is turned off it fails to restart.
then cranks very slowly.
the immobiliser is off and has been ruled out.

it seems like the starter solenoid is draining the battery and dies. so needs jump leads.

help please.

Exactly like mine did. All these starting issues with RSTs, it's the thing I hate most.

No need to change the whole starter motor mate, just change the damn solenoid. It's located very near the turbo & rad so temp is like hell there, which solenoids don't like at all. Replace the solenoid and relocate it somewhere else. I've put it on the front side exactly behind the headlamp. Worked fine since then
