will a cossie t3 fit an escort rst ?? and wats the diffrence

yes, but you'll need to modify your downpipe.

physical diffrence is exhaust housing size is larger.

yes and the above is inaccurate.
you can fit an erst t3, cossie 2wd t3 and a cossie 4wd t3.
you can just unbolt the erst core from the turbo housing, 6 bolts, probably really stiff and change cores over.
however you'll find ideally you'll need a bigger exhaust housing, i'd go for a 0.48 one, have a search for one, won't cost much, maybe Ł10-30.
then you don't need to alter anything else, just maybe the actuator bracket and spin compressor housing by loosening the bolts spinning and tightening the bolts again.
but if you wish to get less restriction on the tubo, get a cossie turbo with 0.48 housing and modify a cossie down pipe.
i've done all the above at som epoint and now settled with a cossie housing and down pipe on a 4wd turbo as this is the biggest power one.

So basicaly you've just said the same as what i've said, only he's to take his turbo apart, then realise he'd be better fitting the cossie core and housing he's just taken off and to modify his downpipe to suit?

Lad asks if a cossie turbo will fit, it will, and to do so, you'l need to modify the downpipe.

spot on, i was just explaining how it could be done if you're not handy with a welder and struggled to get hold of a down pipe as they're starting to get thin on the ground.

if you've done everything else, and have raised your rev limit then it's worth fittin, otherwise wouldnt bother

basically a 4wd cossie turbo is very similar to a stage 3 t3, but without the 360 degree bearing.
as for extra lag, there will be more, depends on how the engine runs as to how much more.

well its going on a efi engine stage 2 chip, biege's , front mount, std bottom end and head so wat turbo would be best lookin to get cam fitted and maybe some headwork in future

I would go for a stage 2 T3 no more lag but flows a lot more than a stock T3.

get a cossie turbo and use the rst exhaust housing, lag will be down and you'll only be a bigger housing away from more power.
