Default Help no response and a lot of smoke

Hi guys i need a little help i brought a s2 rst 3 weeks ago it looked like a chavs car and didnt run very well, i sorted the chav part out and took it to pj motorsport to have it set up, as soon as i had done that i started to have problems, every now and then when driving along the car will cut out and then when you start it again it will just keep cutting out unless my foot is flat to the floor, even when my foot is flat to the floor there is no responce at all the boost sticks at 0 and the revs are very low also while doing this there is alot of smoke out the exhaust, after a while of trying it will clear its throat and kick back into life anyone got any ideas. fuel relay is brand new as well as well as the earth.

i think you should take rstdave advice
but check all your pipes boost/vacum and make sure all electrical plugs are tight might be worth a spray of wd40 on them as there being checked cant do any harm
then do compression test

as above dude, take it back and tell them your problems, before you went there was there any problems you knew of? I would also advise to get ready and dont be to down if it brakes down as there never right, just like my todays driving, been really hot and i bust a water hose, standard water hose on more power just dont agree lol.. split it,

always carry around some tools, such as spanners or even a small socket set and a posse n Philips screw driver in your glove box, you never know when you need it.. oh and maybe something to cut with just in case you bust a hose in the summer weather

Good lass, get some more grunt out of the old girl and get yourself a few scalps in it. BMW and Subaru drivers are ripe for some FWD Escort humbling

can i just point out hall sensors tend to pack up at the wrong times.

i had my RS set up etc. then a few weeks later i had the above problem just as you described.

sounds like your RS is in the early stages of hall sensor failure.
my sensor packed up about 3 weeks after it started.

i'd look into getting a new disrubutor, the hall sensor comes with it too.
these are £160 plus p&p from burton power and you get a £20 surcharge in return of your old dizzy.

and dont buy one from ebay, better off buying a new remanufactured one, as you cant buy them new anymore.
this is it:
