Do you know what offset they are as that will make a big difference.....will be tight though, you won't wanna run too wide a tyre. 7's are generallly a much safer bet in terms of rubbing...

Mmm, seeing as you've already bought them you'll just have to try them, though to be fair they're quite narrow tyres for 7.5's as i run the same size tyres with no rubbing issues on 7 inch rims in the same offset so fingers crossed! I'm still on drums though so to be fair you may well have to get the arches rolled, may catch on the rear.

iv just dropped my 17x7.5 et40 MO's on my car, complete with rear disc conversion, and the rears arent scrubbing, altho my new arches were rolled completely back on themselves. fronts are like twins', completely untouched

only thing i will suggest is u drop from the 45 profile to the 40 profile, as that wnt help with clearance at all

and yes, et35 sits 2mm further out from the hub than et37, much like ur et37 sits 3mm further from the hub than my et40

i run 17x7.5 et35 205/40's and when i had discs on back had slight rubbing 4 up but found that it was more the top screw holding bumper on but have also got full arch roll on all arches

yup, most tyre scrubbing comes from the bumper as u say, around its top screw mount. i havent trimmed my new bumper yet, but my old 1 i cut it as close as i physically could to the mounting screws to remove excess plastic, might have even cut the top screw area out entirely.

Why have 8 inch rims and squeeze narrow tyres on them, 205's are fine on 7" rims, will reqire some arch work if you want that 'look'!

They came up cheap lol. I've always ran slightly smaller tyres on my rims. I've got 195's on my 7's at the moment. I've got coilovers as well which will help. I'm ready for some arch work if required.
