if its excessivly loud its either dying slowly or your low on fuel. other than that put some dynamat or something in the wheel well, that'll quiet the noise abit.

it could be. but if its been sat for a while there might be shite in the tank blocking it thats causing the pump to work harder etc etc. 3 months shouldnt cause that much of a prob though. but its another thing to check.

how do you mean its getting harder to start?

if it helps, mine used to only buzz really loud wen i was running low on fuel and stopped sharply or turned harshly etc

but this was also closely followed by the engine cutting out, so that would be a fair old sign of noise due to low fuel lol

is it mounted in the standard fuel pump bracket? and is that mounted using the correct rubbers? iv been in a couple of RS's with homebrew fuel pump holders, and due to no rubbers to dampen the vibration, and bein mounted closer to the floor, the vibrations and noise r vastly increased

how do you mean its getting harder to start?[/QUOTE]

when i go to start her she swings for about 30 r 40 seconds before she fires up she always used to start pretty much straight away but as it was parked for ages think i might change the plugs and leads and filters and see if this makes a difference
