done my water pump a couple of weeks ago as it was leakin, so new pump and cambelt, I thought great when I put it back on the rd next month, great it will be good to go, wrong wrong wrong, popped in my garage this afternoon, small stain under car, looked under bonnet, anti freeze on the front cross member, looks like the bloomin radaiators weeping now,

I now need to decide do I have the rad re-cored, or buy a replacement alloy rad from a/s
And do I say feck it and change every coolant hose to silicon, in the view that with everything on the coolant system replaced (except the heater matrix) the car should then be fully sorted for a long time as far as the cooling system is concerned?????????

It was prob best not to ask on a ford site tho!!!! Ask on vaux site and u prob would have got opposite response!! I was in the same situ. I had a car that looked good but dint go well. Swapped it for a car that went fast and dint look 2 good. Then got rid of that car and been stuck with ford ever since!!! And ive done about 30 miles in my ford in a year where its been on the drive!!!! TBH - most of that is my fault as ive stripped the cars and done turbo transplant and coz of weather havent finished yet.

def keep the RS mate - Corsa will be rapid but it looks like a raft of shite to me

RS has more heritage, looks a million times better and will go up in value!

I know they can be a pain in the arse though but you would regret swapping for that thing!

Rst's are going on for a classic motor now and are not looked at as a boys car, if you were to beat another quick motor in a race (on a private road obviously ) in a sorted rst the guy would say thats a sorted rst whats it running?
same situation if you were driving a corsa, yeh its quick but its a corsa.
