Default Power estimates?

About to get a fresh engine put in my S2 with a few odds and sods ive picked up for it whilst scouting fleabay for bargains!

Chipped ECU
-31 Actuator
Front mount
Air filter
Exhaust
uprated clutch

Im hoping to get around 170-180bhp? is there anything else I may require for said power?

best thing is a decent setup you should be there then at a guess

ah thats good then.

im not a fan of huge powered FWD's. I had a friend who was running 270bhp in his S2 and it was horrible, drivability went straight out the window!

Put a 270bhp Vauxhall LET engine in it, those drive fantastically


170-180 sounds perfectly reasonable on that if setup properly.

It's probably worth chucking a CVH34 cam and .48 turbine housing on it, then it should be an honest 200bhp as long as your metering head is flowing well.

What would the benefit of a .48 turbine housing? im quite new to this turbo malarky ya see.

its just the turbo is going to be reconditioned before it goes back in, so i might as well look into it while its off.!

Oh, definately!! The .48 housing flows more air but is a tad laggier, but worth it!
