Default boost problem??

hi my head gasket give up monday night so stripped it tuesday an found the head was knackered luckily i had a ford gasket an another good head so swapped everything over fitted all back together no probs only thing now when coming onto boost as i comes in its as if its over boosting an popping but was running more boost before gasket went with out this problem i closed the bleed valve before takin car on the road.

could this be a simple problem of needing a good set of plugs an leads? i know the car needed setting up anyway before gasket went (luck it went now an not on rollers) but i would like to eliminate it before i go on rollers car is still driveable just not really boostable. any suggestion welcome thanks.

Was the head you took off ported/polished? and the 1 you refitted standard?

i dont know about the port an polish tbh... dnt think so the head looked like it had been skimmed a few times too many tho

ive had to move the dizzy to get it to run tidy enough to drive because when i first started it, it run like a pig so tryed movin dizzy then re-checked the timing marks (spot on standard marks) also i broke my T peice to the boost gauge so cant tell wat its boostin till i get a new one tomorrow im going to check the emissions an maybe turn the boost down on the actuator as it seems to be tryin to boost more than before.

a thought do you think it could be blowin the spark out once boost pressure gets to high?
