Mouting them at the front is how Ford did it on the S1 and how Turbo Technics did it on the retro-fit kit, like I have.

Personally, I think the angle it too shallow in relation to the TCA on yours Stu and from the pic strength would be my concern, especially since we know how your car will be used!!

That is MY opinion though, feel free to totally disregard it!!

So what way would be better way S1 way or Stu way?
I'm thinking of mounting the way Stu did but I think I'll mount the bracket somewhere more up... to have an agle of 30-40 degrees. I'm thinking of this mode to improov my lounch for drag racing... what was your idea?

Now that's complicated, but that's bacause of the antirollbar I like stu's way for the simplicity and the free space in the front as I will make the exhaust similar way like he did, and that's why I need my ARB to go.

But what was the reason you fitted them? what were the expectations?

I can't really see what there is to gain by 'making' these parts. Surely S1/RS1600i/Turbo Technics parts are just as effective. I appreciate that the Turbo Technics kit is rare, but the S1/RS1600i parts are fairly easy to come by.

I'm confused, what does a compression strut actually do? They look solid? So where does the 'compression' part come from

What difference did you feel after fitting them?

I can't imagine there is any difference to feel to be honest, well not directly anyway.

Mine is the way it is to give further adjustment. Obviously the TCA design is flawed anyway and makes the possibility of hitting optimum geometry settings unlikely. Fitting a system with further adjustment in the way that we have to our cars (although a few different methods) makes hitting your desired settings alot more likely. Infact mine was exactly what we wanted last alignment.

I think people loose geometry only after lowering their cars.

That may be so, but when you use your car for different things, you may require different settings (i.e. more camber etc).

The geometry may not be perfect from factory anyway with such crude components.
