Mouting them at the front is how Ford did it on the S1 and how Turbo Technics did it on the retro-fit kit, like I have.
Personally, I think the angle it too shallow in relation to the TCA on yours Stu and from the pic strength would be my concern, especially since we know how your car will be used!!
That is MY opinion though, feel free to totally disregard it!!
